Is anyone familiar with the ins and outs of TNR in Phoenix area? I'm trying to get started as a volunteer, and the TNR hotline set up by Maricopa animal welfare league never returned my phone calls.

Where can I get the traps? How long to I have to keep them out? What if one of the animals that gets trapped looks like they might have a litter that they are feeding?

Would appreciate any advice on this. Would really like to get involved in the program - too many stray animals running around in parts of Phoenix. TNR sounds like a humane way to control their population.

I lived in North phoenix 5 years ago and there were several rescue groups that were involved in TNR. Call local vets and they will have info on local rescue groups. Feed stores have traps to rent out too.

Yeah I saw that link. That's where I got to the hotline number but so far nobody has returned my phone calls. It's frustrating as I would really like to help. It would be nice to get some guidance on it.
