A friend sent me a newspaper article with a photograph that I would like to crop out of the article, which is in PDF format, and save it to my PC. I have not not been able to get it done, even if I go to Photobucket it will not upload. Does anyone have any ideas?
Irrespective of legalities, you can copy and paste the image (or the whole page if you can't select just the image) into Word, then use Word's picture tools to crop and resize, etc.
If you have photo editing software, paste it as a "new image" which ought to let you manipulate and save the image in the normal way.
You can also do a screen shot (CTRL-PRTSCN) and paste IT into Word or your photo software, then crop out the crud.
Not all PDF files are the same. I have edited (cropped) some PDF files with Paint Shop Pro or IrfranView (free).
