A pricey little gem, but nice!
Do all the Canon DSLR's have video?
I think if I stepped up to a camera like that I would not be interested in the video and would rather buy a seperate HD Camcorder. I am sure that would drive the price way down.
I have the SX10 and never plan on using the video in it.

I think it's the trend... I don't think I'll every use Video either. I know I'm constantly tripping over the controlled by having it.... When I got the SX10 I figured a added bonus... but being practical the video on either a P&S or DSLR is a waste.. If your going for pictures then get a picture camera if your going for video then go with a video camera.. To many knobs...
But I'll wait 18-24 months and some other big and better camera will come along and this will be in the $700-$800 range or less.. I some what like the Canon EOS 500D

I use my little A630 for video. The video quality is pretty darn amazing on that camera. As long as you do not zoom.
I really do not take many videos.

I have the S3 and I'm the same way. I don't take much video with it and if I do, its to capture a call of a unknown bird/animal or if I hear or see something interesting while taking pictures. But I rarely do that. I have a separate video camera that takes way better quality video and sound. Only because its a true video camera.

Only a few of the Canon DSLR's have video and that has been in the last year or two.

A lot of their P&S cameras have had it for a while. I used the video on my S2 quite a bit. And they had video before that.

I had read some where that you can dictate crib notes on audio "only" for your subject and etc... I don't know if the sx10 will do that ?
