This has been a little bit under the radar around here, but there is a pretty awesome music & art festival that's coming together for next month in Pittsburgh. Some really cutting edge stuff! Thought I'd post it here. It's actually getting a fair bit of international press in certain music scenes. Venues all over the city for three days:

Me too.... I'm somewhat involved with this thing (full disclosure), but this year is all about just getting the ball rolling. So far so good. Next year should be the one where all the stops are pulled out and more sponsor money comes in. Even this year is going to be an event like nothing Pittsburgh has seen before. Interactive, airplane hanger sized visual games, crazy music. A digital playhouse. There's really not much like it in all of North America...other than maybe Mutek in Montreal.

I was just talking to 2 of my friends in the Burgh about this....To say they're Pumped for this would be an understatement...They're doing the whole weekend....Wish I was home that weekend....If it becomes Annual I'm going to make plans to be in the burgh for the next one.

Awesome! If all goes according to plan, next year it will be back, and it will grow. Everyone involved is viewing this year as the warm-up.

Ok I was able to make it out to this last night and it was amazing. Pittsburgh needs more festivals like this. The open bar was seriously the most awesome surprise I could have asked for. I was there from 10 PM - 4 AM and had a blast throughout the entire thing. I played both video game displays and each of them were really cool. Also, those tacos they sold there were awesome.

How was the overall attendance to this thing? It seemed like there could have been way more people.
