I think it's a great concept. Were you able to get it to calculate for you? It didn't work for me.

Not yet, I will spend some time figuring it out tonight and will post what I find.

I am in Westmoreland County... and I have a score of 11.

No surprise there - - that's why we have 4 cars for the 4 of us. Barely anything is nearby!

My area's score was 25. That's not very accurate because everything within walking distance is over many hills. I live on the top of a very steep hill.

My place in Bethel Park near South Hills Village scored a 74 out of 100. It's very walkable.

Funny, it really screwed up mine. It brought up some things that are near my house, but it also brought up things that are nowhere near me. And the map was all wrong.

I got a score of 62. I can walk to many of the places, and have already done so, but it's taking my life in my hands. There are bits of sidewalk which turn to "Ped Lane" which disappear. I walk through the parking areas in front of businesses and through the drive-in areas. A pedestrian crossing leads to nothing, another you have to wade through a hedge to get to the button to cross - and then once you're across, there's a hedge on the other side so you walk along the road and get hooted at. I don't think America likes people to walk. The best bit on my score was the nearest park - call me a wimp, but I really do not fancy the walk. It may be only .64 mile, but it's on the other side of the Allegheny...

Mine came up 31, which is semi-accurate. But like many others, it left some things off, like the park 1/2 mi from my house, and the mileage seems to be calculated "as the crow flies" rather than based on using the streets!

It was fun to do, though.
