I'm moving to Morningside this summer from out of state and am looking for resources for my 3 year old daughter. I'm looking for a dance class, a swim class, and a 1 day a week preschool/daycare. The closer to Morningside the better, and not too expensive.

If you don't know, are there any resources online to find out about classes for kids? Thanks!

livingpittsburgh.com and pittsburghiskidsburgh.com might help, but I'd just look at the Parks and Rec and library websites to start with.

Cable television's "Dance Moms" is broadcast from Penn Hills- maybe 15 minutes from Morningside.

Dance Alloy offers classes for kids your child's age. We had a good experience there and only left because they weren't offering a class in what my daughter was especially interested in a couple years ago. You can try their classes on a drop-in basis, too, before committing.

Pitt offers kids' swimming lessons.

There's gymnastics right on Penn by the East End coop. They have a good class for kids that age.

Pretty sure that Pitt doesn't offer those lessons anymore. We loved the Sunday am time but they stopped them a couple of years ago. The do offer a swim and creative play lesson on Saturdays. Much more expensive.
