Nice area. Middle to upper middle class. Very good school district.

It is just basically a zip code/mailing address. Knowing the township or more specific location would be a bit useful. But I can't think of any places in it that are not just fine. It is the burbs for the most part with most of it being built up in last 25 years. I previously lived in Richland Township. Nice area, high taxes, and good schools. And despite what some may think of the suburbs I was within a mile of everything I needed. We specifically picked the location because of walkability.

I will add: not horrible but not a great commute from the East End, depending where in Gibsonia you are. Closer proximity to the HP or 62nd St bridges help for sure. I think you're in Stanton Heights or Highland Park, so you're good there. It is just a bit further than the edges of Fox Chapel/O'Hara. It is for sure a suburban area that ranges in feel from "woodsy suburban" aka some privacy and shade to "planned community suburban" with some pre-fab housing. Also parts of Gibsonia span Rt 8 business district, so you have access to ameneties there, as well as quick access to the PA turnpike if you wanted to head down to DC for the weekend after work on Friday.

It's the worst kind of sprawl. And it seems to take forever to get there.

You must be from Pittsburgh. Gibsonia starts 1 mile north of Ross Park Mall.

It's WAY out there.

It is a little more than a mile, but not much. The start is right outside the east edge of North Park. Gibsonia is also next to that other mythical best place to live, Wexford.
