I'm in the market for some men's slouch hats. Any ideas? I'll go anywhere. I'm hoping for a selection.

I'm also interested in any hippie shops with a large selection of apparel. There has to be something other than Cool Ridge in Morgantown. The one in Harmony has mostly tacky stuff.

I googled "men's slouch hats" and got two very different hats: https://www.google.com/search?q=men%...x-a&channel=sb

Which one are you looking for?

The knit things that are loose and slouch in the back. I believe they are also called beanies, but beanies can also be very tight fitting. I really have no idea what they're called. I just know what I want. LOL I'm hoping to find some lighter weight ones for summer.

check out snowboarding companies. Neff, Saga, spacecraft, etc all make loose fitting, lighter weight ones that I used to always wear for summer snowboarding on mt hood.

Meadville. You won't find hippies in Pittsburgh. Only hipsters.

Oh, and for the record, hippies don't snowboard.

There's the Culture Shop on Carson St. I seem to remember it being full of incense and hacky-sacks, so I'd assume they'd have other hippie paraphernalia. Maybe Ten Thousand Villages in Squirrel Hill would have something like that, too.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes, lots of snowboarders are hippies. Mine is a skier. There are other hippies who ski, but way more are into snowboarding. He's not hipster at all. Far from it on almost all levels. And he doesn't dress anything like a hipster either. (I couldn't get him into straight legged pants if my life depended upon it.) He's not trendy and utterly lacks fashion sense. He wears a mix of conflicting styles all at the same time. It's never the same mix of styles either. He just pulls things out and puts them on without thinking twice. I could try to describe some of the styles mixed together, but it would sound WAY WORSE than it looks. I've never seen anyone dress like him, not even his friends. He often looks like a hot mess. Sometimes he's just a mess.

Pittsburgh was kind of a noueveau hippie hotbed in the early to mid 1990s. The scene produced bands like Rusted Root and others that played jams. Of course, that scene fizzled a bit when Jerry Garcia died in 1995. Tel-a Ropa was ahead shop in Oakland that comes to mind. The scene kind of centered around Thirstys and North Oakland.
