Antney's Ice Cream in Crafton is open until 9pm, but only has outdoor seating. Awesomely delicious ice cream. New flavors all the time. The last time I was there, one of the flavors was Lemon with Rose Petal Jam. Very creative. They have traditional flavors too.

You're so cute just for mentioning that!

And I forgot about Antney's - I used to love that place. Was it under a different name in, say, 2011? For some reason I remember it as named something else.

I had thought about buying a house in that area just because I like that commercial area - almost everything you need, closeby, and Crafton-Ingram Shopping Center isn't fair, either.

I think Dave & Andy's in Oakland is open until 10. Betsy's in Mt. Lebanon is open until 10, as well.

I think it used to be a Bruster's, then all the Bruster's closed.

There are still approximately 800 billion Bruster's locations in the area, no?

Are there? The ones I was aware of are all closed: The one in Crafton is now Antney's, the one in Dormont is now a pizza joint, the one in Greenfield is a doctor's office or something.

There are still a few around:

Hopewell (Beaver County), Ross, Ingomar, Bethel Park, McMurray, Bridgewater, Seven Fields, Gibsonia, East Liverpool (Ohio), New Castle, New Stanton, Hermitage, and then further out and away from the area.

I didn't move here until Dec 2012 so I can't answer your question. I do think it's a relatively new business. (FYI, they are closed from Nov-April.) In addition to making the ice cream, Anthony toasts all the nuts that he uses. He has new flavors all the time because he gets bored making the same thing over and over. His wife told me one of their customers brought them some homemade rose petal jam and they liked it so much, they came up with the flavor I mentioned. She told me the jam they use is imported from France. Guess the lady who made the homemade jam wasn't a consistent source. They also make their own frozen yogurt and sorbets.

Sarris's in Cannonsburg is open until 9:00 pm. A Dark chocolate hardcap Sunday always hits the spot.
