I just looked on Google and there IS a part of Arlington that's on Becks Run Road. Just search the keywords "Arlington Pittsburgh Beck's Run Road" and a map shows up with an arrow pointing towards Becks Run Road and the partial address "Becks Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210" showing underneath of it, so how does the part of Baldwin that's on Becks Run Road not connect to Arlington when there's a part of Arlington that's on the same street? I'm confused.

The google map of Arlington is wrong. An accurate map can be found here.

Technically, Arlington includes the north side of Banks Run up to Bajo/Parkwood. Parkwood then leads up to the unofficial micro-neighborhood of Eiseltown, which is also in the City. Parkwood no longer continues through from there to Mountain Street, however - the road is fenced off. Hence why I said there's no real road connection between Arlington and Baldwin.

Cathell Rd is a nice spot, away from any trouble areas. It's a bit removed from any commerce in terms of a walkability standpoint, but you're a short ride away from the South Side and the Waterfront. I think you'll be very happy based on what you're looking for. The main road in and out "Glass Run" would be a lot of fun on a bike.
