Its at 2604 Josephine Street and is definitely a 20th Century building.

I was reading about Marcus Garvey and Liberty Hall, I was wondering if anyone knows if its part of the same organization.

The Marcus Garvey outfit did have a location on the Hill, but was this building, now a restaurant, also part of it.

I do know that while the mills were still running and South Side was still ungentrified, there was a small community of African Americans not far away from Liberty Hall near the dead end of Jane St. off of S. 27th St.

I don't know if this is the same building. I was research Jospeh McLurg, and it's says they built his home in Southside and he called it Liberty Hall.

Serbian History 101 - Pgh.Steel History
^ Serbian history page that mentions a Liberty Hall. Also mentions Sarah St. which would not be that far away from "that" Liberty Hall. That might be a start for you. The building looks like an ethnic social hall / library / community center type of building, so maybe that's what it was.

eta: Just noticed that the original post is ancient, but I'll leave this post instead of deleting it.
