Not sure where I could get a copy of my car key besides dealer. It is a 2011 Corolla. The key has a G chip.

Called a few locksmiths, they do car key, but they are 24*7 service for emergency and prices are not lower than dealer (Around $200)

Any garage or locksmith recommendation? We live around south hill village.

Thanks a lot.

Some hardware stores can duplicate keys including ones with a chip.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

ACE hardware? Last time I asked my local store, they said they could only cut it but was not able to program.

Some can program them. If you have two keys and want a third you may be able to program the new one yourself. Look in the Owner's Manual.

200 is the going rate, don't think you can do much cheaper.

Did you try the dealership. For my minivan I bought a key fob off of Amazon for $39 and had the dealer cut and program it for $89

If you can make due without the chip, the Walmart sporting goods section will cut duplicate keys for about $5.

Thanks guys. Confirmed with toyota dealer (Rohrich Toyota), they could do "bring your own key", the total should be around $60. The blank key costs about $20-$30 on ebay or amazon.
