Crime in Mt. Lebanon and Dormont's Annual Abutment Day (Erie: crime rate, eat)

Since the other thread is now closed, I wanted to clarify for anyone who was confused -- clearly, my references to an axe-fueled crime wave in Mt. Lebanon were made in jest, and further, I love Mt. Lebanon, and the crime rate is non-existent. (And if Erieguy was trolling me by feigning sincerity with respect to the need for clarification, well done you, sir.)

In fact, I love Mt. Lebanon so much that, this year, I'm serving on Dormont's "Abutment Day" planning committee. For the past 37 or 38 years (there is some dispute as to when the first Abutment Day occurred), Dormonters have set aside a day to give thanks to Mt. Lebanon for allowing Dormont to occupy a geographically contiguous position to it. On this day, at 12 noon sharp, Dormonters line-up along the abutment and direct a (playful) "Bronx cheer" at its larger, richer, and frankly just plain better neighbor to the south. Further, we then, in honor of our "cake eating" friends, share a slice of Lebo's favorite dessert (cake, of course). The whole affair takes about 15 minutes. If anyone has availability, we are still looking for someone to wear the "Abutment Day" mascot's costume. "Butty" as we like to call him, is an anthropomorphic derriere (to be clear, and to keep the event family friendly, "Butty" is all crack, no hole, with only a bit of his "coin slot" appearing above his hot pants). (Despite the lack of a fundament, Butty does "speak" through a range of flatulence-like grunts, whistles, and blurts.)
