I know this sounds completely crazy but I’m moving to Pitt from DC and I’m a huge Pats fan being from MA. Are there any Pats bars in Pitt or at least bars that play all NFL games?

No Pats bars, you will find some bars play many NFL games, you’ll find a few that play all games, but you will find very few Pats fans, however, after NE cut AB and he didn’t receive his signing bonus, you’ll find a lot of common ground there.

You won’t find those bars around here. I flew into Boston and Providence. There were no Stiller bars up there. Oh well. I did see the Pats team jet parked at Providence, RI airport when landing there. The six Super Bowl trophies painted on the tail wing and all.

I did hear Tom Brady encountered a Stiller’s fan there last year and was being heckled. Brady told the Steelers fan he feels sorry that the Steelers haven’t won anything in a while but their time may come when he retires.

Pittsburgh simply doesn’t have a lot of transplants. You will not find sports bars to any team outside of Pittsburgh, college or professional. As an aside, I’m a huge sports fan, but I’ve never understood the appeal of sports bars. They’re bad for watching sports, and they’re bad as bars.

That’s what’s great about this country everybody has a choice. The poster likes bars and you don’t. Neither is right or wrong.

It just occurred to me that team-centric sports bars provide a way for out-of-market fans to watch games that aren’t televised in this market. While no local sports bar is likely to play Patriots games, every Pats game will probably be shown on one of the screens at the Rivers Casino sports book.

Why are they bad for watching sports and bad as bars?
