I would think that once someone else has majority control then anythig is possible. With the Rooney clan having control we always knew what to expect. I know the possible invester Drunkenmiller has said he would keep control under the Rooney name but you never know.

The Trib had a pretty interesting write-up about Druckenmiller today. It was interesting to read all about him as he was someone I had never heard of until this whole thing started.

If you didn't get a chance to read it, check it out.

Some here may know, I'm sure many others don't that Art Rooney started his financial empire with a five-dollar book; a street number writer turned bookie on the North Side. In the late seventies, I had the opportunity to meet him.

My father was a fairly well known fighter in the Pittsburgh area and Mr. Rooney had promoted a few of his fights. He took me to Mr. Rooney's office at Three Rivers and we sat across the desk from the humble, shy, kind man.

He didn't say much, I didn't either; I was in awe, uncharacteristically shy that day myself. One thing he did talk about was something any Steeler fan knew, but it was surreal to hear it come from the stable-owner's mouth so to speak, that Mr. Rooney, like all of Pittsburgh and the NFL viewing public, saw pretty much the same thing watching Terry Bradshaw play quarterback: "When he's on he's the best. And when he's not..."
Here Art Rooney just kind of frowned and turned away, as does the father of a gifted, problematic son.
