More deception and CYA from this administration. We ALL KNOW that this moratorium was snatched out of thin air for political a**covering.

And wouldn't you know, ideas that are adopted for pure political gain, with NO thought of the consequences, are destined to fail.

Yes, this is what you get with an inexperienced, divisive politician who responds to a disaster with a knee-jerk reaction intended to mitigate the political damage to himself.

How long have we been drilling off shore, in these depths and shallower? Very rarely do we see accidents of this magnitude and obviously the fact that the rig colllapsed had something to do with the preventer failing.

How much longer can we handle the unintended consequences of liberal ideas?

Can't rep you enough!

It is quite clear that Barry let the situation get out of hand to gain more control over big oil. This pig will stop at nothing to extend his power over the nation. Hopefully we can last him out for two and half more years. Thankfully, he will be somewhat neutered after November and be checked from more unilateral insane "policy" measures. 2012 can't get here fast enough!

Right, of course.

The FACT that obama and his minions have misled the public with their lies about his panel recommending a moratorium.

The FACT that the knee-jerk, damage-control enactment of a moratorium WILL cost even more jobs and failing business.

That doesn't bother you at all, right?

Why don't you stick to the topic and stop trying to make it about me - the usual deflection from the Left on this board.

All this talk of solar panels, wind turbine motors and hydro turbines. Let put our people to work building these things before China take over the market. Making gears or using our steel to produce blades. You get the picture. Working toward using renewable energy for the future.

I have no sympathy for Barack Obama. None. Why? Because when you come into office pointing fingers at everyone else, its hard to reconcile that everyone else is a dunce when the fire is suddenly put under your own ass and your own incompetence is put on display. People at that point just want to say "Ha Ha You ****ing Dumbass. That's what you get." He should have thought of that before.

I say let him burn. Let him wallow in the backfire of his actions. And make him own up to them.

Thank you so many times over, i like you, because you hold back no punches, and tell the truth. I am so glad you stated this, when you pont fingers at everyone but yourself, guess what, it may come right back at ya. Love the old saying from good old Jack, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH! Guess what AeroGuyDC; he is still pointing fingers, something he just can't stop.

We need to put those workers in factories building green technologies.
Try again with that number. It is closer to 80,000 than 10,000. Probably more than that.

Who is stopping you? If this is such a lucrative endeavor get started.

FOXNews.com - Experts Say White House 'Misrepresented' Views to Justify Drilling Moratorium

Quote:
The seven experts who advised President Obama on how to deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion are accusing his administration of misrepresenting their views to make it appear that they supported a six-month drilling moratorium -- something they actually oppose.

The experts, recommended by the National Academy of Engineering, say Interior Secretary Ken Salazar modified their report last month, after they signed it, to include two paragraphs calling for the moratorium on existing drilling and new permits.
Yesssss, the most transparent and honest administration ever.

He needed cover for his knee-jerk, political damage control reaction.
