Robin of Berkeley tackles some questions I, and now most of America, have had about Obama because it is clear that he often ziggs when he should have zagged.

"So what is the matter with Obama? Conservatives have been asking this question for some time. I've written a number of articles trying to solve the mystery.

Even some liberals are starting to wonder. James Carville railed about Obama's blasé attitude after the catastrophic oil spill. The New York Times' Maureen Dowd revamped Obama's "Yes We Can" motto into "Will We Ever?""

......and what's wrong with the people who voted for Obama, who obviously couldn't see that we'd be asking this question less than 2 years after the election?

It scares me that such a large contingent of these people exist in this nation. We have truly been dumbed down to the point where a Used Car Salesman from Illinois can capture the Presidency. The tires and the transmission are shiitty but by golly the paint sure is shiny! That's basically the message that Obama brought with him and sold to the masses. It disgusts me.

I think that as long as we have a two party system the vast majority of either party is going to remain true to it's party. It was not the D's that got Obama elected, It was the independents who voted Obama because of his montra of change and change was and unfortunately still is what we need.

The real question is why are some people asking "What's wrong with President Obama"? when they should have been asking that question about Dubya.

The thinly veiled bigotry is nauseating.

There have been a number of threads about Obama's supposed mental health issues over the years since the campaign. As someone with a little background in MH, I find most of them poppycock.

It disgusts me the only opposition offered to the "used car salesman" was a tired, fear-mongering old man attempting to hold the country hostage with his "I know how to get bin Laden" rhetoric along with his incompetent quitter of a running mate. I've still seen nothing to say the old man and the quitter would've been a better choice. The entrenched two-party system produces political hacks, that won't change until a viable 3rd party candidate comes into play.

I think that Obama has been a good lesson for America. What have we learned?

1. A president should have some executive experience, whether that be as a governor or head of a buisness or the chairman of a senate or congressional committe

2. One should vote on facts and objective plans, rather than emotion

3. One should pay attention to warning signs

a. association with radicals
b. "slips of the tongue" regarding wealth redistribution and private armies
c. voting records- one who is very far left in previous voting records will remain far left
d. indecision- voting "present" does not indicate leadership, but shows apathy and confusion

Everything was available for every voter to know what they were getting, but voters were swept up in emotion and hatred for Bush and threw rational thought out the window. It was a good lesson for American and I am sure it will take decades for the US to make the same mistake again.

What kind of shrink calls herself "Robin of Berkeley"?

You should have learned those lessons with Dubya .

Dubya was the biggest "F" up of a "leader" that America has ever seen or will see.

I find it interesting that the Obama bashers want Americans to forget the 8 years that we were under idiot rule. Sorry but George W Bush destroyed America's prosperity, doing long term damage to the nation.
