I understand and agree with Liberman's motives. I don't agree with some of the methods. The bill is 199 pages. Most of it is right on the money. However section 249 is the over the top part. I believe this is just a tactic to get most of the bill past after major revisions. Standard scare tactic stuff. Put a provision to the bill that you know will come under fire and will have to concede omission of to get the rest of the bill past through congress. Don't get all heated up about this.

I'm just stating the truth. The U.S. does have the power to shut down the internet right now if they could. This bill only makes it legal to do so. It's frightening, but true.
