Look no further to see exactly what is wrong with our schools and why states are drowning in red ink. This is in Illinois, but I wonder how many other states have the same obligations?

How can this be justified, how can a public sector employee walk away with $26 million over 30 years?

Top Illinois public school administrators split nearly $1 billion in pensions | Washington Examiner (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/Examiner-Opinion-Zone/e-d-kain-Top-Illinois-public-school-administrators-split-nearly-1-billion-in-pensions-96723204.html - broken link)

$887,925,790 is a lot of money.

It’s a huge pile of money when you learn what it’s for: the pensions of just the top 100 public school administrators in Illinois. That’s nearly $1 billion dollars for the pensions of 100 people, or an average yearly pension of $306,181.30 per administrator.
Truly outrageous.

And those beneficiaries - ie. teachers unions - are lobbying Congress for a bailout as we speak. And we all know whose ideology unions align with.

Unions and Democrats who support them are the scum of the earth.

Eliminate the Department of Education. It's not as extreme a measure as some would like people to believe.

Wow..I didn't realize government work paid so well in the retirement years.

And if figures like this are all over school districts in the US..then no wonder they're cutting big time.
So cut all the teachers so the administrators can keep their pensions ?

Now me thinks we NEED to crash and burn if just to get back to a decent level set.

When you think about it we all can say we aren't in the right business.

There are 5 school admin. around here that each earn over $100,000 a year. I don't know why when regular teacher's salaries are not that much.

Truly outrageous.

Not suprising at all. Having lived in Illinois in the past for several years, one comes to understand that it is a lawless state

judges on the take
politicians as corrupt as they come
jobs are awarded after every election to political supporters
trial lawyers in control with class action suits
former governors in the federal pen (or headed there)
bad roads (skimming of road contracts)

Illinois is an example of a state run by democrats for many years. What else would one expect?

AeroGuyDC !!! ... Three Stars For You !

The American people truly no longer have any control over the engines of education in this nation ! The greed and sleeziness of the Unions in this case have literally raped the tax payers to the point of revolt.

What a "Friggin Nightmare" ... "How Much Is Enough" ??? for school administrators pensions and salaries ?

You can bet your sweet AZZZZ that when it comes to "Tax Payer Money" there is no end to the abuses and excesses to waste as much as possible by those who could care less about the wise and prudent usage of the same !

"Taxed Enough Already" Party members do have a valid point in this area of their agenda ! It truly appears that there is no end in sight regarding the unparalled abuses of "Tax Payer Money" by so much of the government and unions combined !

The American People deserve so much better !

Thanks / Old Sgt. Lamar
