Largely because after the complaint, criminal and civil, she refused to meet with her own legal council and with police. Not once, but every single time they would try and move on with the complaint. Each legal complaint was dismissed because she simply never showed up for any of them!

It's called a NEWSpaper, not a gossip paper. The editor explained himself quite clearly in your link as to why they didn't print the story. They couldn't determine if there was sufficient evidence that something inappropriate had actually occurred.
