Kev, you couldn't believe there will not be American military, not one, left in Iraq even by the end of 2011?

You have a lot more faith than most Americans.

It is quite possible that Biden is correct. I think we should remove all military people form a great many places(ie Japan, Australia, Great Britain, Germany, ....etc.). We certainly waste a lot of money keeping them there. The original reasons for them, have long past. Now the only reasons are economic, not our economics, but those Countries where they are posted.

Iraq wont be any different than Okinawa, Germany, Korea, etc., etc...we will still have a U.S. military presence there, it may be retired military guys making over a hundred grand a year for Blackwater, but we will still have a military presence and lots of "assets" in the region.

To hear Joe Biden say how proud he was to swear in 200 soldiers who traded time as a mercenary/soldier in a U.S. uniform for citizenship, in Saddam's palace, is really great, UNLESS you are from Iraq and see your old dictator's palace used to create new American's who were willing to shoot and kill Iraqi's to become citizens.

No matter how much of an ignorant, flag waving, FOX watching redneck someone might be, I bet you not a single one of them would look on proudly at a signing in ceremony for some other nations citizens taking place at Camp David, or Arlington, or some other important location that was taken, thru force, by another nations military.

Americans (and their assorted mercenary shadows like Blackwater) are the occupiers, the aggressors, the reasons that up to a million Iraqi's are dead. Thats fact. And it must enrage your ordinary Iraqi, who has suffered first under Saddam, then under George W. Bush and Dick Cheney even worse.

The war on terror is a war that won't end any time soon, and it's hard to say if there will ever be a clear winner.
