i dont want this thread to get out of control with political bantering and typical childish rhetoric.

i am just glad that this finally looks to be under control.

Let's hope its true. Once the leak is contained Congress should start impeachment proceedings against Obama for causing the leak.

The plan is to drill two more wells to take the pressure off.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney gutted any regulation that would have insured proper safety precautions were in place. They should have all their assets seized and redistributed to the people of the Gulf region affected by this oil spill.

I know about the relief wells, but the first is still several weeks from completion. The estimated PSI on that gusher is pretty high..logically you can't just suddenly cap something like that without the pressure causing potential problems further down.

I didn't see anything about it in the article, but I wouldn't trust anything BP says anyway. There's still a chance this won't work.
