TIME Poll: Voters Like Obama More Than His Domestic Policies - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20100715/us_time/08599200395300 - broken link)

For those of us that knew about Obama's agenda since 2008 and tried to warn people, while America had a celebrity, rockstar type crush on him, this can only make us laugh and shake our heads. We've been trying to explain this for over a year now. That most people had no idea on what this man believes and what his agenda is, yet there was this lunatic cult of personality thing going on.

Hey TIME and the rest of you: WE TOLD YOU SO!

And now look at where we are. I really hope this country learned a lesson but at what cost

Dont elect someone based on he or she is charming or how many T Shirts and books and cups with their picture on it they can sell.

They are quiet today so far. But really, what can they say? A liberal magazine's poll shows what WE already all knew to be true for two years now. Notice how a lot of their arrangements are getting weaker and weaker and more desperate. Now, sometimes they have nothing to say at all, which I guess is a good thing . Maybe they are slowly waking up themselves? ..........nah

I think maybe they feel sorry for him. It's human nature to "like" someone for whom you feel sorry. You know, the underdog syndrome -- you just gotta like him no matter what the guy has done.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Liberals love underdogs. How do they compensate for the perceived ills? By throwing money at the problem. Which is why we have an underdog for President and why we have entitlement programs that promote additional growth in the underdog class. I sure hope liberals still have the same love for underdogs when the United States of America becomes the underdog on the world stage.

that was their problem,,they got caught up in the hollywood part of obama

obama is a nice likeable guy, well spoken, educated, and he is a minority

when asked back in 2008 :what are his policies...I DONT KNOW but I like him, was their answer

even biden was caught up in it """"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."""

I think you've hit on it here. Too many people cast their votes based on their 'feelings' instead of actually thinking about their choices and the consequences. They were heavily emotionally manipulated throughout the election, and completely fell for it. That's certainly going to bite them in the butt.

He may be "likable" to some, but I find him offensive, petty, divisive, and severely lacking in leadership skills. Had the media looked into his senatorial voting record, they would have exposed him for being the most liberal senator in congress. Of course, that's exactly what the media types want as POTUS, so they didn't publicize that at all. Instead, they played up his rock star status.
