Which state fits this description? I'm thinking New Hampshire. Any thoughts?

That would be my dream state but the 2 things usually wind up contradicting each other.
Its much easier to find corruption - fiscal mess and do nothing politicians who love to impose their relegion on others while not practicing it themselves.

Miami comes to mind

Western states lean that way. They might not be legalizing gay marriage, but generally places like Colorado and Montana are socially tolerant places.

Colorado used to be a lot more that way before Colorado Springs happened.

I would say Neveda. You can do pretty much what you want there, they have low taxes and no income tax at all. You can gamble, date a call gall and drink a beer on Sunday. While marijuana is illegal technically there, the cops give it almost zero attention. Homsexuals and minorities are welcome there.

Colorado....especially Denver/Boulder and the ski towns. Colorado Springs is sort of the weird exception with all the born-again types but even it doesn't seem so bad compared to places like Oklahoma.

Northern New England as a whole.

Montana and Nevada, also. To a lesser extent Oregon.
