Well they're not temporary anymore. Cameron stressed that even after the budget is under control, the cuts will not be taken back. This will become permanent so the UK can become sustainable in the future.
UK is doing the belt tightening rather than running the printing press.
Make do with less seems to be the message.

"We are living beyond our means and (must) tackle it," he told the audience, who were taking part in his latest 'PM Direct' meetings.
