Why is it that Republicans and Tea Partiers...the self-anointed, supposedly only true blooded Americans representing the ideals and values of the Constitution, say such heinous and hateful things about President Obama being a Muslim? It seems rather hypocritical for such upright Americans to wave the banner of freedom, liberty and democracy in one hand; while jabbing a dagger in the back of a man with the other hand, because they don't like the man's religion.

Whats so hateful about him being called a Muslim? Are you saying its wrong to be Muslim? And not everyone is saying that. Just a few.

But remember, wasnt Obama's father a Muslim? So would it be such a far stretch to say Obama is at least part Muslim? I personally dont think hes some die hard Muslim. I dont think he follows Islam personally. But I sure as heck dont view him as a true Christian. Anyone can call themselves a Christian, but it doesnt mean you follow or live by it. As far as I can tell, the doctrine from that church Barry attended was black libertarian theology, which is far from being Christian.

But back to your rant. Who the heck is jabbing a dagger in his back? I dont think anyone truly knows what his religion is or if he really even has one. Muslim, Christian, Wiccan.......... does it matter? What matter is his ideology, his past, his associations, and his decisions. All which lead to why I oppose him

Well I must say, at least we Tea Partiers know what his religion is....

"I've been to the same church _ the same Christian church _ for almost 20 years," Obama said, stressing the word Christian and drawing cheers from the faithful in reply. "I was sworn in with my hand on the family Bible. Whenever I'm in the United States Senate, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. So if you get some silly e-mail ... send it back to whoever sent it and tell them this is all crazy. Educate."

If your going to start a hate thread at least know what your talking about.

Really? Does anyone know with any difinitive certainty, what organized religion, if any, Obama follows?

Liars are disliked and distrusted by most rational people. If Obama is a Muslim he should have just come out and said so. He did not, so if he is, as the OP proposes, he is caught in a lie. It is the act of lying, the act of duplicity, that anger is focused, not the faith itself.

When a candidate says one thing about claiming a religion during his candidacy and behaves an a different manner after being elected, it is no surprise that there is suspicion and distrust as to the origins of his current faith (if any). It would be no different than had he portrayed a belief in one political ideology and then followed a completely different on after getting into office (a.k.a. pulled an Arlen Spector).

"A liar, is a liar, is a liar" -Ret. Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf

I do realize that for Progressive liberals, who believe "the means justify the end", the act of lying is inconsequential and a non-event. Therefore, I completely understand the disconnect in understanding why Conservatives find it abhorrent. It is the same disconnect liberals have in identifying the dangers of lying as with the lack of personal accountability so prevalent in the Progressive political policies.

Well, if he is, that means he's been lying for years.

After all, he did say his "muslim faith" when talking to George Stephanopolous.

Well Obama never ran on his religion to begin with! He did sit in a Christian church for 20 some odd years though which would make one think he isn't a Muslim.
How can one be a secret Muslim? Don't you have to pray 5 times a day? Wouldn't Michelle be covered up in a burka?
If anything President Obama strikes me as being Agnostic.

There are lots of reasons to dislike hussein obama and the fact he lied about being a muslim is one of them. Out of his own mouth he admitted it. By the way he did not sit in any Christian church for 20 years, he sat in a racist Black Liberation Theology organization posing as a church for 20 years who scrubbed their website of the racist comments for hussein obama's campaign.

Does this comment by hussein obama's mentor Rev. Wright, sound Christian-like?

"If God is not for us & against whites, then ...we'd best kill him."

The above comment would fit right in with the muslim theology. Kill anyone that is not one of them.

Would you do us the favor, please, of providing an actual quote, from a credible source, of one or more of these hateful and heinous things about President Obama being a Muslim. I'd like to see exactly what it is you are accusing these people of.

If we are assuming he is a Muslim then he lied to get elected knowing he could not get elected as a Muslim.
