United German American committe is blocks away from Holocaust museum, why no outrage?
Oh thats an easy one.
Because the United German American Committee is not the same as the National Socialist German Workers (Nazi) Party.

Hope this helps.

I don't know about the Japanese, but it regularly appears on German TV that right wing groups are meeting and are very anti-Jewish. The right wing NDP is winning German elections and courts anti-Jewish voters and candidates. German corporations are known to funnel the technology to Iran through third and fourth parties.

Every spring the WW2 Memorial is surrounded by the Cherry Blossum Festival and a Japanese Cultural Festival is held on Pennsylvania Ave. The trees are clones of trees sent by the people of Tokyo. It is one of Washington's best and most beautiful festivals. So bygones can be bygones. So it should be with the proposed Cordova Center which reminds us of a time when the Islamic civilzation saved the height of Western Civilization during our Dark Age.

Allow me to disagree with both.
The German people voted for Hitler, therefore became Nazis. They either fully and willingly followed the Nazi ideology, or stayed quiet. The few that revolted were put in concentration camps themselves. So therefore Nazi Germany was the problem.
The same is with Islam. Islam is the problem right now, not because all Muslims are terrorists, but because many Muslims are sitting quietly, while their fellow Muslims are committing terror acts all over the world, in the name of Allah.
The brave ones that are talking, have a fatwah ( a religious death decree) on their life.
Had they wanted to show tolerance, they would have never try to built a mosque on ground zero.

You are forgetting one very important thing both Germany and Japan lost the war. gave up the weapon, gave up their ideology, and are our allies.

What were you saying about saving us from the dark ages???
Muslim all over the world 10%-25% believe that they are in a holly war against the infidels.
Where do you see the parallel exactly?

I hope that you do understand the difference between a united German American Committee and a Museum.
Both could have been built in a different locations, while ground zero can not be moved.
Ground Zero is not a place picked for a memorial, it is where it happen.

Unless the group has demonstrable ties to Nazism, I don't see any problem with it. It is deeply insulting to assume that German = Nazi. I say this as someone who is both Jewish and descended from Germans (and French and Polish).
