O.K., though I am not exactly an Obama fan, it is time to balance our postings about Obama, conservatives.

Be honest, and post something good about Obama.

Don't give insincere flattery, and no need to be insolent. Go to another thread to do that. This will be a feel-good thread.

Do it for your fellow Americans, whether you agree with their ideology or not. (Remember, it is your integrity at stake here.)

Here goes one: Obama has his family values down right inside his own home. Heart-warming to see his dedication to his wife and children.

Obama has averted the economic DEPRESSION that was predicted last fall thanks to W's failed economy. He did it in 7 months too! Sure there is still more recovery to come, but at least the economy did not collapse. That is exactly what would have happened had Obama followed Republicans lead who said the economy was "fundamentally sound".

Please remain positive. There are plenty of threads to do otherwise. Thank you for your cooperation.

Question Is there anything positive to say about Obama from a PROUD Conservative standpoint?

You know, it's sad that as I sit here (and especially as a mother who is really focused on the bigger picture here), that I cannot think of anything off-hand that is positive about Obama. Ok, here is something, Congratulations, Obama, for the Kudos you've received because of the way you dress. I am sure he doesn't have a stylist (where is my sarcasm button on my keyboard when I really need it??). We don't need a President, however, who is Esquire's "BEST DRESSED MAN OF THE YEAR" leading the greatest country in the world. He shouldn't be regarded as some popculture icon. He should be set in a class by himself, yet he appears to relish in the limelight for reasons I feel are more surface than relevant. So what if he pairs an Armani tie with an Yves Saint Laurent suit?? Those kudos he receives because of the way he dresses make those who support him look like their primary focus is being chosen for Vanity Fair's guest editor. REALLY??
So, back to the origianal challenge (which was a great one, by the way), I can honestly say that though I am proud of his stylist for being able to put together some very attractive pieces, I cannot in good conscience come up with any good thing to say about Obama himself...other than the fact that he will prayerfully not be the one sitting in the Oval Office in January 2013. We are going to believe that 13 is a lucky number in this most crucial case.

Default Obama could have taken the easy route

He's intelligent, Yale Law Review, keeps his cool in spite of hateful comments (monkey, socialist, not American citizen, liar,...) and tries to reach out to everyone in a nonpartison manner, refuses to react to and buy into the racism charges (although in some cases it is true), really appeals to the younger generation rather than us older folks who have difficulty accepting people who are different from us, is committed enough to take on the biggest and most volatile issue facing this country--health care, when he could easily let it go for the next "guy"... Just a beginning. Listen to him read his first book, Dreams of My Father. Check it out at the library. It's difficult not to admire him after learning more about him. To quote Lincoln (loosely), "It's difficult to hate someone when you get to know him."

He can be instrumental in helping getting "net neutrality" regulations passed with the FCC... its gaining momentum and I suspect he can make it happen... amazing, a pro-consumer regulation...

I think the topic was from "conservatives"... not a liberal making a bogus account so nobody would be the wiser... and your stuff is mixed up with liberal ideology making it far too obvious... like most of the posters on this thread... and by the way... recessions typically end in two years, fixing the economy took place way before Obama took the helm but I guess he gets all the credit... from liberals...

Obama gets his feelings hurt everytime someone says anything that is critical about him. He hasn't had half of the things said about him that Bush encountered even within his first month in office (not even counting the amount of times Bush was criticized for his southern accent). I never once saw Bush throw a tantrum and hide behind Laura when the mudslinging began. Has Michelle been given an honorary Secret Service badge for protecting the president from name calling?
