He's a ringleader in the Tea Party circus, and yes I listened to Glen before there was a Tea Party. Glen is not a fake, I believe he is literally losing himself like the guy in A Beautiful Mind. He believes his own conspiracies, as if his method acting took over his brain and those tears are real, he cries not for publicity but because he cares deep down about Bill Ayers.

Every time I tried to derive value from what he said, or even to place myself in the shoes of someone who derived value from what he said, it made me cringe in second-hand embarrassment for Beck and for his core believers. Beck has his own Kool-Aid that he passes out to his people, but it's the acid-laced sort.

The whole world is ending, and only Beck can tell us why. He has a very special secret for you, but only if you're willing to suspend disbelief and pop your own logic bubbles. I can see Beck convincing a group of believers to all commit suicide on his ranch as an asteroid passes by. He's that good, and that scary.
Other than not caring for being called that name you called me I don't think I will bother even trying to answer that post.

Of course not. Don't defend him, roy, but accuse others of not watching his show.

I watched his show. I listened to his radio program. Don't tell me I did not. He has nothing of value to say, stop accusing everyone of having no idea who he is. He's not a new kid on the block, or a well-guarded source of hidden wisdom. You don't need a membership to turn on Fox news or flip on the radio station.

Almost everybody who works in a public university are into communism. However, I believe they mislabel their monolithic inducing fascism as "liberalism" which gives liberalism a very bad name because classical liberalism is respectful to independent thought, independence, unpopular ideas, and open-ended discourse. Nothing is shut down and shut out with true liberalism, even the most unconventional behaviors or ideas are respected (e.g., Professor Kinsey's work on human sexuality). And when liberal professionals disagree with each other they agree to disagree.

I ask these questions because it seems that Obama not only knows several of each kind but has surrounded himself in the White House with them. If you are a liberal don't even think about refuting what I just said unless you can prove that Van Jones is not an avowed communist or that Bill Ayers is a reformed anti-capitalist. Obama has appointed so many of those people that one has to think that he must have known who some of them were before he appointed them.

Today the Beck show was a conglomerate of those he did earlier this year and he had all the things I am talking about on the show. Watch it on the internet site that I am not allowed to say the link for and then get back to me with some of your best regutation or if you aren't a prog come back with some agreement.

So the civilians who fell on hard times in The Soviet Union enjoyed Stalin's communistic reign?

Communism is synonymous with piracy.
(Taking other people's property by power of government)

Are you saying that when folks fall on hard times, piracy looks attractive?

Because Communism espouses the abolition of the individual's right to absolutely own - EVERYTHING.

Which boils down to the COLLECTIVE owning everything, instead of the individual. And whoever controls the collective State, controls all.

If you no longer absolutely own yourself, who does?
If you no longer absolutely own the fruits of your labor, who does?
If you no longer absolutely own that which you traded for, who does?

If you prefer surrendering ownership rights, in exchange for communism - don't let me stop you. But do not be so naive as to believe that communism is morally superior. Or that slavery to the collective State is an acceptable solution to the ills of humanity.

Actually, I do know a real honest-to-gosh communist.

She thinks Obama isn't liberal enough.

Obama isn't really liberal. Compare him to Dennis Kucinich or Bill Maher.

Thank you, artsyguy. FFS. This communism argument is a STRAW-MAN!!! Nobody is in favor of communism, the communist party in this country is so tiny, it's laughable. From now on I'm going to accuse every conservative of being in favor of Fascism and a totalitarian theocratic government! ALL of them! Since we're all tossing straw-men about like they were real-and-true things to be feared!

Typical Communism Straw-Man:

Who the hell are you talking to? Yourself, and the communists you imagine in your head! Don't let me stop you from debating imaginary citizens!

You WISH there was a strong communist faction in this country, so you could feel morally superior as you did back when the "threat" of monolithic communism was something you could actually point to, and define. You erect shadows, ghost-people, non-elements in the nation with no names or faces, and attack them with everything you've got. Who are you fighting? Cobweb communists in your own head.

Whenever anyone uses the word "Communist" or "Marxist" on this forum, it's a giant read flag that reads: "Straw-man alert! Not a real debate! Straw-man alert!" Watch for it, because it's more common than ever.

He isn't liberal at all. With all the "reaching across the isle" and bush leftovers he hired on his cabinet, also with how far right the republicans are now, Obama is basically a progressive republican.
