Be honest now. Especially you blood suckers who pay nothing.

I think that 10% across the board would be fair.

Zero. The government provides no goods or services that I find useful or need, so I don't see a reason to pay for things I have no use for.

Anyone who wants to pay more is perfectly allowed to write a larger check to the government than their tax bill. I've often wondered why those who keep calling for higher taxes don't do just that?

Could it be that they only want other people to pay more taxes? Naw, that would make them hypocrits!

You don't drive on interstate highways?

That's the very percent I was thinking as I opened this thread.
10% seems very fair to me.

So I take it you never actually drive (NTSB) on an interstate? I take it you've already served in the military thus paying the price for your freedoms? I take it the food you eat is never on a truck that travels the interstates or comes to the USA through a port? I take it you have no wastwater treatment or city running water (EPA standards)? I take it you never fly on an airplane (FAA/TSA)? I take it you never turn on a TV or radio channel (FCC) and listen to the weather forcasts for hurricane tracking (NOAA)? I suspect you only obtain goods through barter trade and never with money or credit (FED). I suspect you've never had a home mortgage (FannieMae/FreddieMac)?

I could keep the list going but I suspect you use many services overseen by the government. Even if you don't believe the agencies whould be regulating them you do still benefit to some degree from them.

Yet at some point the computer you are typing on, and/or its components, came to you via a truck that traveled on an interstate didn't it?

Wow, I know you just got started on that list but it's amazing how much buracracy we have and some people just keep calling for more.

Yeah, scarey isn't it?

I'm looking about trying to think of something that is not a true antique (100+ yrs. old) that hasn't been regulated by one federal bureaucracy or the other. I think if we shrunk government and the behemoth bureaucracies a lot fewer tax dollars would be needed to feed the beast.
