I imagine the Left will come with the excuse this is a made up story (even though it is a report directly from the Comptroller), that it is meaningless, trivial and not worthy of public airing.
Another shining example of the failure of porkulus, aka, obama's stimulus.
DPW has received $70.65 million and created or retained 45.46 jobs, though they are expected to create 238 jobs overall (the fraction of a job created or retained correlates to the number of actual hours works). LADOT has been awarded $40.8 million and created or retained 9 jobs, though they are expected to create 26 jobs overall. Overall, the Departments have received $111 million in federal stimulus funds out of the $594 million the City has been awarded so far and created or retained 54.46 jobs.
How many more examples, how many more reports do we need to put a nail in this coffin. What a friggin joke. Why would anyone think sending $1+ trillion to DC to "distribute" how they see fit would be the best way to stimulate anything?
I still dont understand why they didn't take all that money and mail us all a check heck half of us could retire. oh yeah it wasn't meant for us, we are not wall street or big banks or big ins Co's
I had to laugh when they passed that fine for homes foreclosed on and not keep to standrad for bnaks. 1000 a day. Expect alot of homes to be torndown by banks and written off.If not they will be sold cheap to individuals i lots and become getto. Crazy thinking there.

If you are going to make a reference to REALITY, please do not use disinformation terms of endearment.
1. Since 1933, no "dollars" have circulated. Only "dollar bills" (Federal Reserve notes) have circulated.
2. Notes are not money.
3. No "Taxpayer money" was used.
4. Over 300 million duly enumerated "human resources", pledged as collateral on the public debt, were put into deeper hock.
5. The public debt, in excess of 13 trillion DOLLARS *(not payable with dollar bills), computes to a sum of 650 billion ounces of gold bullion, stamped into dollar coins.
6. World supply (est) of above ground gold is 5.3 billion ounces.
7. At current mining rates, it would take 87,000 years to mine enough - if the gold could be found - and if the debt was frozen right now.
8. This impossible debt cannot be questioned, pursuant to the 14th amendment, clause 4.
9. AND THIS INSANITY IS WHAT "you" CONSENTED TO!
