An official report released this week says an ACORN offshoot group cannot properly account for how it has spent millions of federal dollars and recommends that the group repay the government and be put on standby mode until it cleans up its act. The report from the inspector general for the Department of Housing and Urban Development reviewed how ACORN Housing Corporation -- now called Affordable Housing Centers of America -- has spent federal grant money over the past two decades. The report said more than $19 million from HUD went to the organization since 1995, and that about 80 percent of the $3.25 million received between 2008 and 2009 went toward salaries."
Who signed off on this?
How many ACORN off-shoots are there? And where is the investigative lamestream media to root them out?
Too busy covering Steven Colbert, Palin, etc. perhaps.
All such give away programs (and HUD) need to be eliminated.
Congress simply can't be trusted to dole out our money responsibly.
How many times must this be proven to be fact before people wake up?

Isn't it funny how after the past 2 years of spending billions and billions...19 million doesn't seem to excite anyone anymore? So Acorn is still getting money...whoda guessed it. Can't even recognize this country anymore.
OMG..I love it. An agency created to help poor people get homes and most of the government money is going for their salaries with barely any left over for the people they are all being paid to help !!
It's not a Democrat or Republican issue, it's a POS Politician issue.
