Well, yeah, but those who want to not like them for carrying the anti-gay book just aren't going to allow any of this to swing their hatred for those who seem to be anti-gay and non-atheist.

Great book for people who support bullying gays and seeing them commit suicide.

I'm no fan of walmart nor anti-gay bs but I don't have a problem with this. I wouldn't buy the book, but if others want, so be it. The choice is up to the individual. I think the retailer is best to remain neutral and offer whatever sells. If this one bombs, I'm sure it will be pulled. If it does well, then hey they made money. I don't agree with many books I see, so I don't buy them. Big effin deal.

If Walmart also publishes pro-gay material, then I'm not saddened by Walmart so much as I am by the book content itself.

When Walmart wouldn't carry CDs with the Explicit Lyrics warning label, the left shouted "censorship!" Now that Walmart is carrying a politically disfavored book, out come the voices on the left lambasting Walmart for failing to engage in censorship.

Make up your minds, would ya?

I am pro Gay rights but I could care less what kind of books Wal Mart sells since I am not there to buy books in the first place. Perhaps they should get out of the book selling business altogether since most people who shop there are only looking for a bargain on 54 rolls of toilet paper.

Yep. The people who shop at wal mart probably aren't there looking for 'quality' literature.

I'm a 'liberal' and I don't care that they sell this book.

I must say I've never gone to Walmart to "buy a book" - if I want a book I either go to Amazon online or to a bookseller.

I don't want Walmart to engage in censorship. They are free to sell whatever products they want, and the rest of us are free to voice our opinions about them. I'm sure most liberals agree with me.

And on the other side, I bet there are some anti-gay social conservatives who are offended by any book that even mentions homosexuality, whether its positive or negative.
