Hopium is America’s new drug of choice.

Being unable to deal with reality, the many Americans now prefer to put blind faith in the same people who caused financial disaster, dismantled and exported the jobs base, stole the countries wealth and successfully instigated a Coup to take over government and nullify the power of the people.

They proclaim to have a positive attitude, and to chasten those who shine light on the problems facing the country calling them Doom and Gloomers.
They take comfort in the fact that the country has not imploded up until now, and use that as some kind of proof that it will not happen in the future.

They gleefully accept government statistics proclaiming consistent improvement, and somehow are oblivious to the inconsistencies of those reports in comparison to what is actually happening around them.
Hopium allows them to ignore mathematics and to believe that the government and the banks can continue to counterfeit wealth and ever expand debt without consequence.

Hopium allows them to believe in the same political parties that have sold them out time and time again, will somehow work on their behalf this election.
Hopium allows them to believe they are still free people and that their Constitution is still in force despite the reality that they have sacrificed their freedom for the promise of safety.

And lastly Hopium allows them to believe in the future, a future they believe will restore America back to the prosperity, peace, and freedom without them ever having to lift a finger, or to pay the price for their fiscal and civic irresponsibility.
