Now that the GOP has gained control of the House Of Representatives, what should they tackle first?

Repeal the Healthcare Bill?
Repeal DADT?
Impeach Obama?

What?

When they reconvene there will obviously be a lot on their plates, so where should they start?

I certainly hope they try to do all of the above. I would love them to try. It will be the quickest turn-over in history...most will get recalled half way through. I would say they're not that stupid, but hey...they are Republicans.

I think the House Republican leadership should first make it clear that there will be true bipartisanship this time and not like how the Democrats treated Bush when they won control of Congress.

Extend current tax rates across the board for ALL Americans
Healthcare repeal & rewrite
Get the ball rolling faster on House ethics investigations (Waters, Rangle, etc..)
Revoke previous House passage of Cap & Trade
Write legislation to prevent the current land grab that is under way by the Dept. of the Interior
Balance the budget & roll back spending 20% across the board
Begin defunding many of the over-grown/over-powerful bureaucratic agencies (Dept. of Education, etc..)

Whatever the case we can now expect a strong economic recovery within 6 months of January 2011.

What's next? Gridlock. The democrats have shown they have absolutely no intention of compromising or working with the republicans, and of course Obama isn't going to sign anything that repeals what he worked to get passed.

They will raise the debt ceiling and then blame it on the Dems....

They'll also show boat and do things like shut the government down for a day etc. But ultimately they won't be able to keep any of the promises they've made to their confused base. Any group who claims they'll cut taxes and pay down the deficit probably has a poor chance of getting anything done in the first place.

Nothing is going to happen. We will be locked in political gridlock for the next 2 years....if not longer.
