I have heard this more then a few times, they whent to put everyones retirement acc. under S.S. adem, and pay off the unions retirement fund, and give us back 2 or 3%.
Are you thinking of R bonds? They were (are?) an idea floated late last year as a device to better protect retirement income. I don't know if the idea has been abandoned, though, or what.
I'm sure you'll be hearing more about how awful and nefarious they are, and how Obama wants to ram them down your throat, as the Rs continue to try to frighten you with phantoms and lies.

It is only for residents of Pennsylvania. The rest of us are exempt

Thanks for that info, but I will make all my investment decisions, I have lost money, and made money, but when I lost, it was my bad decision I made and mine alone. I will say I have investment advisor that helps me, and its not the Gov.
