Full body scanners may not be 100% effective. All passengers (of mixed gender) should be taken in groups to a large room, set up in a line, and told to strip completely. Then all naked passengers will have to stand with feet shoulder width apart and bend forward as the TSA officials slowly walk down the line inspecting everyone. Airport gatherings such as this could be fun for everyone, especially if all of a sudden the lights go out.

Do you think the TSA would be good hosts and provide liquor, etc?
After all, its our dime.....
Wife and I have absolutely NO PROBLEMS with the scanners.......full body or whatever. It's a He** of a lot better than getting blown up/killed in a plane due to not having the security!!!!!! Bottom line is, if you don't want to be scanned or padded down........ DON'T FLY!! Now that sure was an easy one to figure out!

Check point security isn't as strict.
There's a flip side to the unfounded argument, "don't like it, don't fly", being this: "If you're so scared of virtually non-existent threats, don't fly".
Why should law abiding or even otherwise criminal, but in no way capable/willing to blow up planes, citizens be subjected to highly invasive procedures that in any other situation would be called sexual harassment, at best.
So why not flip the coin and say this: If you are so worried about your plane being blown up, then don't fly, and leave the sensible people in peace.
Marmac, let me ask you this: Do you think all cars should have built blood analyzers, where you need to submit a blood sample, testing for all known intoxicating substances, before the cars ignition will work?
Do you think knives should be outlawed, as there's a definitive danger (far greater than being on a plane with a terrorist) that you might kill yourself with it?
Do you think it should be illegal to be outdoors without a full bee keepers suit in any area with a registered wasp and/or bee presence?
My personal favorite is Peanuts, who in 2001, the highest terrorist casualty year in America, killed more people that terrorists. Should peanuts then, in all forms, be banned?
All the examples I've listed have far greater potential to save lives, and as far as I can se, they won't be any more invasive, do you support those too?
Would you rather go through a body scan or fly in a plane that explodes?
Blame the terrorists.
Umm, I'd rather they let Americans excercise their civil rights so we could defend ourselves instead of acting like a bunch of scared children. A few law abiding people with guns on a plane & you'd never see another hijacking in the USA. You can blame the anonymous mysterious terrorists, I'll blame the liberal pansies that support the wimpification of America.

Nope, no planes. just ships & our rights were secure when boarding and traveling on them.
as mentioned many times, nobody makes you fly & if the freedom secured in our constitution scares you too much in regards to planes you are free to walk.
Black, what about the Americans already here who don't like the government. What will happen to those people genius??
I guess you're never profiled in NYC, huh.
That's kind of my point. Our government is lying to us about why they need to subject passengers to these scanners and groping security guards.
Stuff like profiling proved to me a long time ago that all governments lie to their people about why things are done. Selective enforcing of laws, uneven punishments for similar infractions because some one may/may not have money, may/may not be the right skin color, etc.
If terrorists were such a danger, they would be going about this very differently.

Ships? And who said that ships are immune to terrorists?
I wonder what would happin if someone were to let out an erotic moan while being patted down...down there.
.
They would be sued for sexual harrassment.
