Not sure if anyone caught this - Soros is making money off of the manufacture of the TSA scanners.

Soros Scores on Scanners

Cliffnotes
  • Christmas underwear bomber caughthttps://pics3.city-data.com/forum/
  • Four days later, Rapiscan gets $170 million contract from governmenthttps://pics3.city-data.com/forum/
  • Michael Chertoff lobbied on Rapiscan's behalfhttps://pics3.city-data.com/forum/
  • Rapiscan's parent company is OSI Systems, Inc.
  • George Soros owns (or previously owned) 11,300 shares of OSI stock.
Conclusion - My tax money is paying for a company that is legally allowed to obtrusively search my fellow Americans - because of one goofball. We are no longer considered as innocent before the government. We are now put on an equal playing field with Islamic extremists. The same happened with the shoe bomber - all shoes and belts off because of one goofball.

And a man who does not have America's best interest at heart is enriched. Thanks Mr. President.

One better....
OSI bought the scanners with stimulus money.

So the laugh is on us..we bought them twice and handed money to both OSI and Rapiscan.
Soros, Chopra and Chertoff made out like bandits. Chopra was also invited by the President to go to India with him on his trip.

There's really only a small set of players at the top and once in the loop the money never stops flowing.

I didn't bother to look up the stock price of this company, but 11,000 shares doesn't sound like a whole lot to a billionaire. I'm not even sure it would be worth his time to go through the trouble of lobbying for that contract.

When you have that much money..it's more about power and control than making more money.

Plus a bit here, a bit there, and not enough to show up on insider trading lists. I'm sure his name carries more weight than holding a measley 11K shares.

Glenn Beck mentioned this on his show Wednesday, 11/17..

I take it the scanners are NOT made in the USa.

In fairness, Beck did mention this on his show today. Taking his directive, I looked up the info myself.
A look at OSI Systems, Inc., including its Rapiscan subsidiary identifies Deepak Chopra as the president and CEO. Chopra, individually and through his PAC, has been identified as a significant donor to the Democratic party, including contributions to the campaigns of Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton. It should come as no surprise, then, to learn that he accompanied President Obama and his royal entourage by invitation on his recent trip to India to promote further trade between the two countries. The trip was paid for by U.S. tax dollars.

Investigation into the financials of Rapiscan and its parent company becomes even more interesting when it is learned that . George Soros also holds a financial stock interest in the company. As of last June, Soros held about 12,000 shares of OSI stock.
AND... Beck also pointed out that Soros did sell 11,000 shares two days prior. I did see the sell order on a Google link.

Yeah - I saw that the current share amount under his name was zero. I was not sure when he sold.

But he is still in the picture - just like he was behind the scenes as he owned stock in Petrobras when we (US Gov't) sent 2.3 billion in that direction.

Woo woo. Yes, we all know that nobody in the government breaks wind without it being directed by George Soros.

I guess David Rockefeller must have died? He used to be the favorite boogeyman of everyone on both paranoid fringes.
