I will never understand why self-proclaimed Christians often get so worked up over silly things. If their faith is so strong, then why are they so bothered by the naysayers. Why not just feel pity for those of us who don't believe?

Love the name sanspeur btw!

Easy.

Who said atheism is a threat? This particular group is just a bunch of idiots backing up how they chose to get their message across with a lot of BS and back-peddling and half-truths.
Oh yeah...Christians NEVER do that. Ever.

Evidently, you don't know the prophetic meaning of those specific gifts.

That's OK. Many people don't. Especially non-believers, who like to put their own meanings to these things.

It's quite interesting. You should find out.

YOU don't get to dictate what ANYONE should or shouldn't do during this HOLIDAY season. [/quote]

Exactly.

I wonder why someone who believes in god would spend so much time and effort trying to convince everyone it exists...and spew such hatred for others while doing it....
I wonder why someone who doesn't believe in any deity would spend so much time, effort and money trying to prove that something doesn't exist?

What's the point?

When the man who worried about everyone elses house returned home, he found his home had been lost.

When Christians constantly worry about how I run my life, they neglect their own household, which isn't Christian at all.

All I want is to be left to make my own decision.

Everyone should set their own individual bar, and worry less about what others think, or are doing. You want to live a Christian virtuous life, great, but don't call me a moron when I disagree with you.

What about the verses I listed? Don't they count? One has to take the whole thing into consideration. Even an atheist ought to be fair in his argument for disbelief otherwise he's only fooling himself and trying to fool others. No?
Sorry, Your Jesus ain't comin' back....The old laws stand, otherwise you guys would have to throw out the ten commandments too.

Tell me how I'm not being fair when my argument comes right out of your bible?

How does one take the whole thing into consideration when there are so many contradictions? The only way is the Christian way...You folks gotta cherry pick what you like and ignore what you don't...

Who the heck cares about a sign that merely says the Christmas story is a myth, especially when that is true.

Something better than the, "At least we are not quite as bad as these people," measure.

Matthew 19:19
"...and love your neighbor as yourself."

Matthew 22:39
"Love your neighbor as yourself."

Mark 12:31 - Jesus gives us two commandments...
"The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:33
"To love him (God) with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself..."

Luke 10:27
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Romans 13:9
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Galatians 5:14
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

James 2:8
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.

You'll notice that the first one is from the OT. It helps to read all of the Good Book.
Thanks for posting the list of christian lip service. Anyone who thinks that christians actually follow the teachings of Jesus has been fooled.
