So are honesty and integrity. None of which have shown up in the thousands of claimants, their lawyers and the USDA.

The lawyers are the real recipients here. Mike Espy should be investigated.

Make it right for those who were affected, not for anyone that files a claim.

Bounce the whole crew at USDA, get people who aren't politically connected in there.

Feds' Pigford Settlements Leave Taxpayers Picking Up the Tab
DTN/The Progressive Farmer: Agriculture Markets, News and Weather

Update: Obama got his Dem Congress to approve that additional money for Pigford.
Reparations? When Pigford Flies
Okay, I will go vomit now. 94,000 "farmers" (if your black and planted a tomato seed in your garden, you can claim it too!) get $50GRAND. Correction on the original number.

So wait, the settlement was reached over a decade ago but nobody got paid until now? How come it took so long?

This is an extension of the 2nd round of payments, courtesy of Senator Obama before he became president.
Quote:
Supporters of Obama’s presidential campaign argued the then-Illinois senator’s move to resolve late Pigford claims would endear him to Southern black voters during the tough Democratic primary race against former Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.). At the time of the bill’s introduction in 2007, Obama was finding his footing as a candidate and polls suggested he was struggling to attract black voters. He later won almost unanimously among this group against Clinton and then in the general election against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
CBC upset over Obama

In other words, Obama bought southern black votes via the Pigford II settlements.

...And Obama just recently added over $1 Billion more to the Pigford II payout fund to keep the CBC and black voters happy.

The USDA denied FOIA request and covered up who received Pigford settlements, even though other farm program payment data is released...

Quote:
"At least one source who is extremely familiar with the issue and who asked to remain anonymous because of potential retribution says there are a number of legitimate cases who have long been denied their payments and will benefit from the additional funding. But many more appear to have been solicited in an attempt to "game" the Pigford system. For example, our source said a large number of late filers had similar zip codes in large Ohio cities, suggesting a door-to-door effort might have taken place to find likely candidates.
In an attempt to verify these allegations, I filed a Freedom of Information Act request, asking USDA to provide the names and locations of those individuals who had received payments under all of the Pigford cases. However, unlike the farm program payment data released by USDA, the agency denied access to the Pigford information, citing an "unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."
Pigford case continues to haunt black farmers and USDA staff

Hmmm... Obama needed to win in Ohio... and who else do we know that goes door to door solicing voter registrations in black communities?

This begs for a Congressional investigation. Perhaps next year after the new Congressional members are sworn in?

Obama's vote-buying was approved by Congress? ACORN going door to door in inner-city Ohio collecting Pigford claims from 'farmers' was approved by Congress? When?

Congress thought they were funding a legitimate settlement. Obama re-opened it and re-funded it to specifically turn it into a vote-buying extravaganza. That's how we got from the initial 50 to over 94,000 claims.

Please. I'm black and I wouldn't want to be a black farmer even with the settlement. Anybody who read your statement here knows that you have no argument whatsoever and are arguing because you can.
