It's now common knowledge that the WMD argument was put forth to whip up public support for the invasion. There was lots of info given to Bush/Cheney/Condi prior to the invasion stating the truth - that Iraq HAD no WMDs. They stuck with the BOGUS intel that said there were WMDs.
You can count on THIS, though - none of those creeps will EVER be honest with the American public on why they ran their campaign of disinformation to get congress to pass the resolution allowing Bush to start the war.
The fact that Condi would shamelessly fall back on this discredited and weakest of premises for launching the absolute dumbest and least justified act of agression in US history should surprise no one.
The fact that it's trumpeted as some kind of "victory" by a right wing blog like newsbusters is about as significant as Al Franken pointing out the fact that Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.
It seems some people prefer lies which confirm their ideological idiocy compared to the truth. That's why Rice lies, yet again, and the idiots eat it up.
Rice is an intellegent, educated, classy lady. I would love to see her in a big position within our Government again.
Katie Couric is the biggest idiot left wing media chump that I have ever seen. I never liked her and honestly have to say she makes my skin crawl just listening to her voice and watching her facial expressions.
Rice led the interview and put Couric right in her place. Couric came away from that interview looking worse than I have ever seen her.

Good question, what video were you watching? Rice said that they werent sure when Saddam would get WMD, whether it might be in one year or several years.
Now some people have been arguing that since he had chemical and bilogical weapons, that this proves he has WMD. But I think most would agree that the decision to go to war was over the question of whether he had nukes.

The known fact is that IRAQ HAD NO WMDs WHEN BUSH INVADED. They didn't know. They flat-azz guessed. They launched a pre-emptive war based on their desires, not on good intel.
It was the dumbest, least justified act of aggression in US history. The entire world knows it.

Who had only the intel that Bush released to them. I was convinced, too. As was the vast majority of the American public. That's what happens when our leadership sets out to deceive us about our very safety. We tend to take threats to our existence seriously.
