A poster replying to a post of mine used the term "Accomplished Politicians".

Being these so called accomplished folks seem to keep miss managing our money on a grand scale into monster deficits.
Being they keep trying to confiscate more of people's personal wealth through property taxes, sales taxes, income taxes, business taxes, the death tax, tax on income from saved money that was already taxed, taxes on fuel, water, electricity... you get my drift.

I think we need less of these ACCOMPLISHED kind of folks from the old elites of politics.

What ever happened to limited government?
How has the government been allowed to become the majority financial partner your personal life?

I think the term HACKS would be a better description for the vast majority of these so called "Accomplished" politicians.

Are you speaking of the 7th definition of impossible?

They just appeal to the public to stay in office as long as possible.

Most all come off as totally incompetent to me. Seems to be a bunch of hacks digging debt for us all instead of dealing with realities and then trying to kick the due date on the shenanigans down the road.
I wish that somehow it was illegal to use the State or Federal Treasuries to buy votes.

Someone who has managed to hide his bribes. Charles Rangel would have been one for a long time.

Best example? Lyndon Johnson. Here is a man who grew up dirt poor in Texas, never held a job in the private sector and was worth close to $100 million when he died. In 1973 dollars. How corrupt would you have to be to amass that kind of fortune on the public payroll?

It is one who can lie cheat and steal and convince people it was all in our best interests.
Examples: Charley Rangel, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd,Rumsfield, Cheny, Spector and Kanjorski. To name but a few.
Examples of failures. GWB- no one believed him. Sherwood- he got caught.

Some accomplishments of politicians:
The ability to speak out of both sides of the mouth, while saying nothing.
Telling you to go to h8ll in such a manner so that you look forward to the trip.
Posing as a statesman, while robbing the public blind.
Jumping to the leadership of every parade, and acting as if they started it.
