Give it three or four centuries and we'll see. Race is a societal construct, not a timeless truth. Still, it'll be a pipe dream for our lifetimes.

In 3 or 4 centuries the only people left will be white people; didn't you watch the Jetsons

Yeah, sorry, that won't happen. Sorry you'll have to deal with the oppressive CBC, despite your multiple exclamation points. The fact of the matter is that a representative can represent their district and still find it important to cooperate with other representatives whose districts are composed of similarly underrepresented racial communities.

You can bet that if a representative has a large percentage of X in the area and that group feels their being dealt an unfair hand, they want their representative to get in there and do something about it. And if they don't then the simple answer is, we'll put one of our own in there, someone who will understand out struggle and fight with us. Not saying it's right, but that's the way this whole election process works.

Well gee you got the Republican Party.

I guess you need something a little more exclusive now that you've got Nikki Haley, Bobby Jinal and Congressman West in the party.

Again, he's black, and he's a congressman. What's so hard about that?

Notice how no one is touching your question. LOL...Go figure.

It's obvious, isn't it? Like another poster said, others can do it, but us black folks can't be doing this stuff. I guess it makes people nervous for some stupid reason.

No one is addressing his question because it really wasn't on-topic. The discussion is about Allen West as a conservative, and whether or not conservatives will support his joining the Congressional Black Caucus.

I wonder what West is going to talk about while he's there. I can't picture him being chummy with Maxine Waters.

Why not? Many Congressmen and Senators are good friends even though they're on different sides of the aisle politically. So why would he not be chummy with his own fellow caucus member?

Because you hate Maxine Waters, he should too?
