I'm curious what people on this forum think of WikiLeaks and Julian Assange, and why they feel that way.

Full disclosure: I think that the world would be better off with more people like him. I think that he's the victim of a smear campaign from multiple governments around the world.

He thinks highly of himself.

Supercilious.

If people lose their lives because of his actions, then I believe he becomes an accomplice.

We will all be judged someday, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

1. How did a buck private obtain confidential information?

2. Why only release information that's not really important? The diplomatic cables weren't damaging, and everybody's forgotten about them

3. The only thing he didn't release was secret information on the top banks in the U.S. Why?

Bills introduced to curb internet freedom in the name of cybersecurity have been circling around, coincidentally. For nothing! Think about how he got that information from a mere private.
