Mom charged in kids' slayings treated at hospital - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110129/ap_on_re_us/us_tampa_teens_shot - broken link)

No sign of it coming. I would speculate a complete psychotic breakdown, but why?

It just goes to show you. We live our public lives and our private lives and some people are very good at keeping the two separate.

I don't know...I am not for gun control but something has to be done.

Wow.

[a mental health issue, not a gun control issue]

I don't know if you'd call it "snapping" or impulsive if she planned this out. She bought the gun a few days before, and sent out messages telling loved ones what she was planning. I'd call is desperation, or deep depression. Definitely a call for help that went unheeded. Either way, as others have said, more a mental health issue.

Very sad.

It's Evil. She didn't get depressed because of her kids talking back at her, she wanted to get them. She probably hated her kids for some time, pretended not to but then began to plot against them.

Insanity as an excuse for everything doesn't cut it. Insanity might mean you think you're a pencil sharpener or you have no control over your actions. This woman obviously had control and planned it all out.

Yes, they do.

That's why I don't trust other people. You never know when it's going to happen, best to avoid them entirely.

Wait. Can you clear this up? Who is "them?" Untrustworthy people, crazy people who might "snap", or all people in general?

And if it is all people then why do you seek people out on this forum? Just curious.
