Am watching the Redskins game on Fox, and they just had, 1 minute ago, around 6:07PM EDT a Chevy Truck commercial, and in a small instance (the commercial has a cowboy theme to it) a rainbow flag on a flagpole. They showed it for just an instant...
Brokeback mountain?
Is there some other use for rainbow flags? the colors were duller than the normal gay rainbow flag, but was still a rainbow flag..
Same football game, now a VW Jetta TDI commercial, and they showed a woman punching a man...
Can you imagine it going the other way?
So it's PC to punch men? In order to sell cars?
I have no issue with a gay flag b eing in a Chevy Commercial, but I'm curious, if that's what it was, why are they p romoting sexuality in a truck commercial?
It was so brief in time though. I'm sure gays can and do own trucks. But do they have advertisements catering to heteros? I"m sure most are, but are they deliberately done that way??? I can see how a beer commercial is with women in bikinis dancing.. drink bud light, get laid.. but.. does that happen???
they had a rainbow flag, briefly, like a fraction of a second, in the ad.
For the opposite, recall the Dodge Caliber ad in which the car is so macho, it resists "fairy-ization" despite being a small vehicle. And the fairy gets her revenge on a guy by turning him into a stereotypical effeminate gay.
