Wow. Now if a conservative stated this it would be front page news and all the liberals would be bashing him. This is interesting. The liberals would be calling anyone else a racist and a hater and horrible names. The silence is deafening.

Right, and now a guy the conservatives generally pooh-pooh as a liberal degenerate is to be taken as gospel when he says something they like, eh? The hypocrisy is monotonous

Bill Maher is projecting on Obama what he wishes Obama was. Personally, I think it's a great way to rationalizing to himself why he supports him.

Oh and if a conservative said this, besides being called an evil racist would also be rebuked for being judgemental.
How dare Bill Maher make a judgement of this nature on the President. How does he know his heart?

He is being a narrow-minded judgemental racist. Or he would be if he wasn't a liberal democrat (wink wink).

9:14 to 9:17.....3 minutes...and the "silence is deafening"?

This liberal doesn't CARE what Obama's religion is as long as he keeps it out of his policies.

And if you watched the show, he was subsequently corrected on many things.

I think that President Obama is a light Christian. One that doesn't believe that you should hate homosexuals, deny them marriage, or dictate morality on other folks.

But really, does it matter one way or another. There is no political test for office, and I don't care what your religious views are, unless they play a direct role in your politics.

Bill Maher is trying to drum up support from the left to support this pro-Afghan war, pro-Stasi Act "pragmatic moderate". Figure if you can make up some nonsense like "Obama just pretends to be Christian to appease the simple minded", maybe a few nutburgers will believe him.

He was also pretty clever on rationalizing why he's anti-gun but owns a firearm himself.

LOL at comparing Christians to beer. Is he a "pale ale" Christian, or more of a "rich red amber" Christian? Maybe sort of like a Mic Ultra? A Christian for "active young hip people"?
