If I would have no problem living in a town that is predominently Indian or Oriental, yet choose not to live in a town that is predominetly black or hispanic based upon crime rates, education, and similiar values why according to a liberal does that make me racist?
you are making a strawman argument. There is nothing wrong with living in an area that is predominately white area if the reason is, the area is safe. Its wrong if you want to live in a predominately white aree because you want to keep your distance from blacks.

I dont know of any whites that live in a "white town" just because they want to stay away from blacks. Anybody that lives in a white town lives there 1. Like others they feel comfortable around their own kind 2. They desire safety for their children 3. They desire good schools. Its that simple..
Do what you want. Threads on this same topic have been started over and over again. Each time, it turns into a black/hispanic bashing fest where people attempt to justify their racism with crime stats. I don't care where you live, but I wonder what your intent is with this thread.

There are many Jewish people in the town I grew up in who would disagree with that statement. A black family wanted to move into a predominently Jewish town On long island and behind the scenes four Jewish people with power made sure it didnt happen. They didnt want their property value hurt

Honestly, my best guest is, you are probably a racist and you are just trying to justify why you dont want to live around blacks. You have the right to live where you want, and we have the right to our opinions about your motivations.
