They have no problems. They stay OUT OF POLITICS and do their economic thing.

China has people but no resources. Go study a bit on how China trades with countries that hate us. They hate us for a reason. Because we seem to think we cannot just trade..we need to "secure" their government to protect our interests.

^ this

China is a literal machine, for better or for worse. They make logical decisions and do not entrench themselves into the politics of a government. If it seems like it's getting more unstable, they slowly back away on trade. This is beginning to look like the tortoise and the hare, more and more everyday.

As despicable as China's foreign policy is, it is based more on the principles of of the Ferengi, profit.

Since no Arab nation has attacked Israel in 25 years that the problem isn't a war between Egypt and Israel but perhaps the realization that Israel might be shaken out of their comfort zone and as a result might actually take peace talks with the Palestinians a bit more seriously and in the process reducing the terrorist threat to the U.S.

Just a thought.
But the saber rattlers over here think differently.
We are hell bent on "preventing war". Our military industrial complex would collapse if we decided "peace not war" and just became trading partners.

FEAR politics is being used here.
The poor and young professionals are peacefully protesting.
Should another dictator worse then what they have today gets in power you think they won't rise again ? You take the risk when you push for change.

We did it. And we didn't know what type of government we would end up with. But the people were fed up with the current government and felt they had to do something.

Armchair politics over here about what is "right for America" won't help these people who have been oppressed by the current government that we have financially backed for decades. WE SCREWED UP. We gave billions to Egypt and did not demand that the money be spent wisely and for the people.

Typical American exceptionalist hubris and intervention. The United States won't allow another nation to decide its fate because it isn't in our best interests.

Now if Iran were funding or supporting the Tea Party or Code Pink, American's would lose their ever loving minds, let alone hearing rhetoric from the Iranian government saying, "We cannot allow America to elect a President not suited to our best interests".

Does the United States government honestly see itself as the world's king?

Do you think that if Israel decided to cozy up with Russia instead of the United States and its new leader was some radical faction, that the United States would be issuing such demands? Not on your life.

"They hate us for our freedom" please someone give me a shoe to vomit in.

You know what..there's nothing wrong with that.
There's always a country willing to trade.

What country will nuke you if you spend a lot of money there ?
Why would you nuke your best customer ?

Any terrorists going after China ?

The US is following the footsteps of the British Empire.
And we all know what happened to them.
China will step in and take our place just like we did to the Brits.

The only thing the OP proved is that a progressive interventionist foreign policy can be bi-partisan.

As can destructive foreign policy; LBJ, RMN, and Vietnam being a fine example of a bi-partisan screw-up.

We are the next "Roman Empire", "British Empire" about to implode on itself. We are going down the exact same path as empires before us.
We are not going to end up at the top of the heap; we will be buried by it.
