It now is clear that the uber-rich have co-op'd the Republican party as their personal hit squad to do their bidding of changing America into the land of the rich and work slaves.

For voting Republican take stock of who you voted for and are they doing your bidding or the uber-rich's bidding??

"The Republican strategy is to split the vast middle and working class - pitting unionized workers against non-unionized, public-sector workers against non-public, older workers within sight of Medicare and Social Security against younger workers who don't believe these programs will be there for them, and the poor against the working middle class.

By splitting working America along these lines, Republicans want Americans to believe that we can no longer afford to do what we need to do as a nation. They hope to deflect attention from the increasing share of total income and wealth going to the richest 1 percent while the jobs and wages of everyone else languish."

Yawwwwn yawwwn, just vote Democrat because they are about the middle class. Yes yes, heard it all before. Instead of wasting time with your OP (especially with an Alternet post), could have just summed it up in one simple sentence. But there, already did it for you in my first sentence

Part 1 - Remove Obama from office in 2012
Part 2 - Remove the gov. teat that liberals have become very used to.
Part 3 - Prosper

Oh wait, that's the real plan.

I'd like to see #2 & #1 switch positions. The weaning needed to begin decades ago and the 3rd rail has been avoided by political cowards for far too long.

That's all it takes to prosper is remove Obama and the gov teat? Removing Obama is easy but I'd love to know exactly how they're going to remove that govt teat.

FYI ~ that teat isn't just for liberals. The receptionist at my job who works from 10:30 -2:30 still collects partial unemployment, actually turns down extra hours because she doesn't want to work more than 28 hours a week, collects food stamps (I know this because she mentions it every time we have a potluck) and is planning on taking a cruise with her 8K tax refund. And she's a registered Republican. However, she doesn't think she's on the teat because she's not on "welfare"

How many different men has she had kids with? And does she know their names? The fathers' names, I mean.

Kindly tell her that food stamps are welfare and part of why taxpayer funded government welfare to the Dept. of Agriculture is so high, food stamps are part of that. Perhaps instead of a cruise she could pay for her own groceries? Just another example of how Americans have been trained to stand in line like swine to feed out of the taxpayer trough when they could be rooting for their own truffles.

Obviously she is a poor financial planner because no one should be giving the government enough money to begin with to get a large refund. Why let the gov. earn that interest?

I guess I shouldn't be, but I am continuously amazed by the crazy things people believe. From Birthers to Truthers to this bit of craziness.
